Description:

System engineer for a high priority and highly visible malware analysis modernization program. The individual will support software developers that manage the front-end application of the program. They will be responsible with gathering requirements, developing sprint plans, and assigning tasks with priorities to the team members. This lead role will require interfacing with other IPT leads and the customer to help align overall objectives of the system.

Requirements:

• Managing team tasks
• Developing and planning Sprints
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, confluence, etc)
• Experience interacting with other teams / leads to plan, design, and implement software solutions
• Experience interfacing with customer and their needs
• Testing software capabilities to identify problems and verify requirements
• Software deployment/installation support
• Assess system / application logs for problems

(U) Applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288:

(U) A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience

OR

(U) A High School Diploma or GED plus twenty-four (24) years of general systems engineering experience (any Process Area).

OR

(U) A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience

OR

(U) A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience.

*(U) Note 1 – Examples of Qualified engineering fields include: Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management.

*(U) Note 2 - Examples of related disciplines include: Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, and Physics.

Desired Skills:

• Operational monitoring
• Background or knowledge in JavaScript (NodeJs, ExtJS)
• Web Console debugging
• MariaDB experience (or similar)
• Elasticsearch experience
